MEET CHEF

Hassan Benali grew up in this medina, learning to cook in his grandmother's kitchen just three streets from where Kachkech now stands. She taught him that Moroccan cuisine is about patience—the slow simmer of a tagine, the careful layering of spices, the time it takes to hand-roll couscous.

Moroccan food is generous. It’s meant to be shared, to bring people together, to create moments. That’s what we do here—we create moments. Some meals you forget, but the ones at Kachkech, with the Atlas Mountains in the distance and mint tea in your hand—those stay with you.
